Ms. Gachui, Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, is the Principal of JGIP Consultants. She graduated from London School of Economics and Political Science with an LL.B (Hons) and French Law. She holds an LL.M in Intellectual Property Law from George Washington University, USA. Ms. Gachui is also an Associate Member of International Trademark Association (INTA)

She has extensive experience in all areas of Intellectual Property (IP) Law and Entertainment Law; having trained with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), New York as well as with reputable Australian Entertainment Law Firm Joan B. Peters - Private Practice, to name a few. As part of her work in the IP field, Ms Gachui is a resource person and trainer for the creative entrepreneurs within the creative and cultural industries in Kenya, in the region and across Africa in areas ranging from music publishing, film and TV, software developers, fashion designers, corporate clients, schools, regional and international organizations on matters of IP, advocacy for the protection of IP and finding commercially viable means of exploitation of IP rights. Ms Gachui also consults on various projects that involve clients from diverse disciplines to offer creative solutions where needed.
